January 20, 2021 - Today, our nation witnessed history yet again. This time with the swearing-in of a new administration. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have stepped into the White House and into their new roles to lead the United States through one of its most challenging times. In the wake of the violence at Capitol Hill, today’s peaceful oath of office welcomed a transition of leadership that will be remembered for generations to come.

We extend our congratulations to President Biden, Vice President Harris, and their team, many of whom are intelligent and capable women of color. Their inauguration signals hope for a more unified society and a brighter future for this country. It's also a time to celebrate the important contributions that women of color have made in getting us to this point - using our collective power to innovate, act boldly, and exercise our civic duty for progress.

At digitalundivided, we advocate for Black and Latinx women entrepreneurs and business owners every day, with a keen understanding that we have long been underrepresented, underpaid, and that our climbs are infinitely more difficult. Representation matters and with the first woman, and the first black woman, shattering ceilings, and serving as Vice President, we meet this moment with a buoyant optimism and the courage to keep pushing forward.

The journey continues as we each contribute to a more equitable world through our everyday actions. Keep advancing and fueling our vibrant culture of innovation and creation. And at digitalundivided, we will keep lending our expertise, research, and stories to push for policies that support economic empowerment for you.
