“It is in collectivities that we find reservoirs of hope and optimism.” - Angela Davis
In moments of despair, there is comfort that comes from community.
Since our inception, digitalundivided has been committed to serving Black and Latinx women entrepreneurs, by building programs and a community for them to feel empowered and celebrated. With the recent string of events, from the wrongful death of George Floyd by the hands of Minneapolis police, to the subsequent riots and protests taking over every major city in the country, we’re being faced with a painful reminder of the racism ingrained in the American experience. One that fuels the mission of digitalundivided - to promote inclusivity and equality.
We want to acknowledge YOU, our DID community. When hate, violence, and systemic racism are on full display for mass consumption, it calls for time to process, heal and be supported. We at digitalundivided recognize the need for community. We will continue to serve as a safe space for Black and Latinx women. Today, we encourage you to take the time and space you need. Know that you are not in this alone.
