NEWARK, March 15, 2021 - digitalundivided announced today the appointment of Larry Wilson, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, to its Board of Directors effective immediately. This trailblazing financial executive, investor and philanthropist brings key strategic guidance and leadership to amplify digitalundivided’s mission of catalyzing economic growth for Black and Latinx communities through women entrepreneurs.

“I am excited to welcome Larry Wilson to our Board of Directors,” says Lauren Maillian, CEO of digitalundivided. “As our organization continues to move the needle towards creating a more equitable world, Larry’s knowledge of the financial inequities faced by women of color, and decades of leadership experience in financial services will serve as an invaluable resource for the growth and development of our founder community.”

With 20 years of experience on Wall Street, from intern to executive, Wilson is currently a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Wilson spent 17 years at J.P. Morgan. A self-proclaimed mentor, Wilson is committed to providing tools, guidance, support, and feedback to help people of color thrive in their careers.

Wilson has served on diversity, equity and inclusion leadership committees for over 15 years, including as Co-Chair of the Black Leadership Forum at J.P. Morgan from 2015-2018. Current non-profit leadership experience also includes PGA REACH Trustee and a philanthropic advisor for Unlocking Futures, Inc.

About his appointment, Wilson says, “It is an honor to join digitalundivided’s Board of Directors, especially at such a pivotal moment in history. As a father of three beautiful Black daughters, I am inspired by the mission of the organization to advocate for Black and Latinx women in innovation and entrepreneurship. I’m committed to creating a more equitable world for my daughters. The women of color in my life are the backbone of their communities, and in my current role I have a front row seat to the financial inequities faced by Black & Latinx women entrepreneurs. I look forward to collaborating with the other talented Board members to help build an ecosystem that creates a sustainable and replicable system of achievement for the communities we serve.”
